Lake Industries Awards Free Protective Supplies to Businesses Reopening Safely

Face Masks, Sanitizers, Hospital-Grade Disinfectants and More Offered Through Social Giveaway and Discounted Packages Online to Businesses Across the U.S.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, May 19, 2020 – As economies across the country reactivate, Lake Industries is awarding free protective supply kits to small businesses doing their part in suppressing new outbreaks of COVID-19.

With the spread of the disease happening primarily through respiratory droplets from infected people, risks of transmission will rise as people congregate in enclosed spaces. To minimize this, medical experts recommend additional precautions like handwashing, sanitizing, social distancing and frequent disinfecting, which have proven effective to neutralize the virus. But there’s a financial and emotional burden for small business owners to incorporate new procedures, order additional supplies, and update their business models to meet and exceed evolving safety restrictions.

CEO of Lake Industries, Saville Kellner, believes non-essential businesses across the US will play a huge role in keeping the virus at bay. And he’s using his company, Lake Industries, to help support them during the pandemic.

With a 40-year history as a supplier of health and wellness products, Kellner tapped his team to pivot as the crisis began to unfold. Using their long-standing relationships with global manufacturers, Lake Industries began sourcing protective supplies like face masks, hospital-grade disinfectant, face shields, sanitizer and soap that couldn’t be found elsewhere across the country.

To-date the company has supplied over thousands of orders of protective supplies to healthcare workers, high-risk individuals and essential businesses across the country.

In recent weeks, as governments have lifted restrictions, the company has created reopening kits with various masks, soaps and sanitizing products packaged at a discount for businesses, while also offering same-day order processing and curbside pickup for businesses with urgent needs. Kits are available online at lakeindustries.com and carry discounts up to 25% off for various assortments of supplies.

But the availability of supplies is only half the battle. To minimize risks and prevent new infections, business owners have to be committed – and disciplined – in where and how they are used. As restaurants, shops and other businesses welcome employees and customers back, new safety measures are being implemented with varying degrees of effectiveness. Kellner and his team at Lake Industries want to reward businesses that are doing it right with hundreds of dollars of free protective supplies through a “Safer Together” award program.

“Businesses that are invested in their communities will do whatever it takes to keep employees and customers healthy.  Extra precautions like social distancing reminders, requiring masks, offering hand sanitizer and incorporating extra cleaning will make a huge difference in protecting friends and neighbors. The companies out there that have met these challenges head-on to make sure they are operating safely should be both recognized and celebrated,” said Kellner.

Any business in the U.S. working hard to operate safely is eligible for the award, and anyone can make a nomination.  Nominations are accepted on Facebook or Instagram via a post highlighting how the business is going above and beyond, using the hashtag #safertogether and tagging both the business and Lake Industries. A series of winners will be selected through June to receive their free supplies, with the award package matching the size of the business. Award kits will include everything a business needs to reopen or operate safely, including hard-to-find gear and products like KN95 face masks, earloop protective masks, hand sanitizer gel, liquid sanitizer and eco-friendly hospital-grade disinfectant.

The program officially launched today, and nominations are now open.
